*grumbles incessantly*

My moan today is about flat hunting.

Right, so I go and make an appontment for a house viewing for today, having been at work since 11pm last night, and I get there, for the woman to turn up late.
Yay. 1 point.

Then, rather than actually being talked through the house she just says "Toilet there. Airing cupboard. Living room. Bedroom. Kitchen." and stands there looking at me expectantly.
Yay. 2 points.

So I ask a few questions about the place, and she doesn't know the answer to any of them.
Yay. 3 points.

Finally she gives me a form to fill in so I can "apply for tenancy" (wtf.) and then as I'm looking over it, she tells me there's a £200 administration charge, which will not be refunded if my application is succesful, taking the overall bill to moving in to somewhere in the region of £1300 without doing anything except paying my first months rent.

Ding. Ding. Ding.

10 chuffing points.

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

If you have more promising places to check out I suggest you advise this person exactly where to shove her forms and poxy attitude. (Clue: the sun doesn't shine there - ever)

Here's a general moan. Those idiots who believe that stopping for traffic lights or behind someone turning right has delayed them improperly, and gives them the right to break the speed limit to get to the point down the road they feel they deserve to already be.

And while I'm here, I want to moan about the idiot who wrote last night's questions for the local quiz league games. It's not about showing off how obscure you can be, sunshine, it's about providing a forum for the teams to compete in. :x

ecko - if part of the moving in thingy you mention mentions a credit check and they tell it costs well over a hundred quid to do one; tell them to bend over and lick themselves, because you can get one from one of the 3 major credit companies for a tenner...

when me and a mate were thinking of sharing a place, that's exactly what they tried to pull...

idiots...

oh and don't forget to change your debit/credit cards over to your new address...i always forget that...

my own gripe is people getting in my way...not me just wanting to barge past people, but people with no awareness of other people on this earth stopping at odd places as if suddenly hearing a voice in their head saying "go on, do it - it'll really annoy the man trying to get past..."

but that's tempered with me going to a wine tasting this afternoon, and i've got a nice new boon to use on occasion when i wish to predict other people's scores for wines...never been to one before, i was toying with the idea of wearing a cravate just to amuse myself....im imagining it to be very high brow and a tad overly serious...brilliant...

I don't envy you there, matey. Moving is supposedly on a par with divorce in terms of emotional distress (or maybe it's "second only to...", I forget) - and I found out by experience last year. When you've got as much rubble as I have, moving all the time is a serious pain in the glutes.

I'd moan about my car, but I figure you'll all start to get bored of the same subject, suffice to say that all is not well... :(

Amen to that, brother.

People who hog the middle lane of an empty motorway. I cruise up in the left hand lane, cross behind them at a safe distance and give them a blast of full beam as I do so, then pull into the overtaking lane and make a point of moving back to the middle lane for a few seconds before completing the move to the left hand lane again. Sometimes they even get the point.

1) Cyclists who believe that somehow traffic lights dont apply to them and just go straight through a red nearly running over my pedestrian ass in the process. I wouldn't mind being run over it's just they haven't got insurance!!

2) Adverts on Tv. Am I the only person who seems to think they are moronic. The rest of the bovine public seem to think they are clever and even worse "some adverts are better than the programmes"

3) Fastfood restaurants. The food is c*** (not the best), don't eat there.

4) Living Tv's most haunted. Hilariously rubbish. My favourite bit was during the live show when someone emailed in to say that during a the show their remote control had mysteriously stopped working......MAYBE THE BATTERIES HAD DIED!! Moron

5) Couples who walk slowly hand in hand taking up the whole pavement. Speed up or move over....ASS****

6) Young people who read the daily mail. Old people I can understand them being narrow minded right winged bigots but if you are right winged as a young un' then where do you move from there? Fascism ?

Take a deep breath and calm........
