I received an e mail from Eddie Burke this morning saying Roy Baker died last Friday 10th. Nov. 2006.
He is so well remembered by older magicians for his books, Baker's Dozen,Baker's Bonanza, Baker's Brainwaves, plus his dozens of trick contributiuons to Abra and other magazines.
And of course the P.A.T.E.O. Force.
His Electrovan( vanish of a lit light bulb) was my Big Trick in 1948 and his complete Mental Act in Bonanza ( pub. by Harry Stanley) really started me on the mental magic trail
I didn't realise he was Eddie Burke's cousin.
The funeral is at the Medway Crem, on Friday 24th. November 2006 at 1:20pm.
Honour him for he brought much to our Magic World.
