Sorry if you have been mistreated here. Don't get it wrong, people here are very kind and will help you with your questions and struggles what concerns magic. But keep in mind that the forum is still a discussion board where people trade their opinions regarding certain effects etc. You won't find out how a trick is done from here. But once you bought the effect and know how a trick is done (a book or a DVD or whatever) people will help you with the mechanics, giving you tips how to practice, what to watch out for and so on.
The reason why you may feel mistreated is because alot of people (new members mainly) continuesly ask questions like "how is this trick done?" , instead of asking "what's the name of this trick?/where can I get a DVDo about it?". Answering the same unnecessary questions (questions that are against the rules) can be very frustrating and I think the_mog simply misunderstood sbird07 here. I think that is why his answer might have a slightly rude tone to it...
