I saw Chriss "Angle" do this trick in the park were he cuts a woman in half on a park bench, with just his hands, it looks cool except 1 thing. this woman only had 1/2 a body to begin with, i have seen her befor on a TV Special about deformatys, she only has half a body, from her belly button and below is gone, ive seen people like this befor its a sad condition and i am dissapointed chriss has exploited this womans deformaty to make money. i dont know if the small group of people were stuges or not, but i recignize the woman and she is deformend like that, i can only assume that the "legs" she was on were somehow fake or it was just a camera trick so the people at home couldnt tell it was her sitting on some short persons shoulders, but other than that it was compleetly obvious to be what was going on, after being vut in half she crawls around on the ground after people, and convieniantly there is some black material perfectly fitted to her underside to cover her bttom torso. hmmm, i dident know people came eqipped with spandex inside there body to hold in our bowels when cut in half, maybe i should re-do 10th grade health class, lol. any comments?

I'm not sure that I call it exploitation if both parties agree to what's going on and the person is being paid. If the person in question has been on a number of TV shows already then this tends to suggest that she perhaps makes a living from her deformity. If that's the case then good luck to her. Is she not then exploiting her own situation?

I've seen the efffect on TV and thought that it was entertaining, which is the point of what Criss does.

That's my view anyway

i understand were u r comming from dat8962, the show i saw her on she was talking about how its hard to make ends meat when she has to work from home, but i guess if he payed her well its not so bad, but if it were out of desperation because she needed money i dunno how i would feel, i would feel degraded buy more power to the both of them if it makes her happy to proform.

Criss is certainly not the first to do this in that Bobby Reynolds a well known carnival pitchman, did something along this level with a living torso at the Magic Castle many years ago... the act was down right hilarious.

Kevin James has done it also with the midget he performs with.
(The politically correct term is "little person", but I don't think any one is going to chase me with pitchforks and torches for this.)

Anyway, when Kevin did it, it was funny and entertaining. When Criss did it I got chills down my spine, and not in a good way.

I really didn't like Criss's effect, even if this woman makes a living out of her condition; this was just degrading, through my perspective at least.

you didn't actually think CA "really" cut the lady in half with his hands did you... i mean, great attention to detail you recognised the lady but you had to figure there was some kind of trick to it.

in so far as Criss using this person as part of his routine... she was acting, he was acting, and i sure as hell was entertained. beyond just the fact the person involved was "special", the whole thing was very well done, and the job she did was fantastic. she was without a doubt the star of the entire sequence. in particular the way she casually came from the audience and moved over to the bench.

good for her if she wants to do that!

I and probably everyone else watching it (magicians and maybe some laymen) would have known she was deformed but the reaction from the spectators makes me laugh everytime I see it. It would have been better if he used fake blood and maybe some animal entrails
