I currently own ellusionist crash course in card tricks which teaches a variety of beginners sleights and tricks to use them. I have just found the new dvd born to perform by oz pearlman, , is this worth buying also or does anyone know if these two dvd's teach the same thing. I need to learn the more fundimental basics to card magic!!

First things first. Ask yourself "is this a review? Am I in the right place? Have I ever bothered posting an intro since I joined in September so people can tailor any advice and response to my skill level? Or have I just asked what I should buy?"

I'm not sure about the DVD you mentioned, but here is a great start to magic:
1: Royal Road to Card Magic - (book - £10) Must Buy!!
2: Mark Wilson Complete Course In Magic - ((book) £10-15)
3: Royal Road to Card Magic DVD set (Paul Wilson) (DVD - £60). Expensive but maybe worth it.
4: Card College (books) More expensive than royal road, but some would argue it's worth it. 5 Volumes in total, about £90 to buy 'em all. Or about £25 seperately.
Books have more in them for the cost as a general rule.
Videos are great but generally more expensive.
