Svengali DL

Postby Davebo » Jan 10th, '07, 13:28

Hi,
I'm trying to find a good way to do a DL with a Svengali deck. Other than end to end bending I can't find a good way of not showing what's happening. Any ideas or is that the preferred way ? If so, any flack from spectators ?
Thanks, DBo. :?

If you do the end to end thing and bend them SLIGHTLY inwards rather than outwards they will align perfectly. I have bent them outwards for years but have now transferred to the inward bend since this way you don't get the slight lack of alignement that you do with the outward way.

It is slightly trickier to do it this way and the bend must be slight otherwise it will look unnatural.

All this is explained in my wondrous book on the subject.

Mark,
Thanks for the reply.

Is that inwards as in backs bending towards the palm ?

Sorry.

BTW, where would one get a copy of said book ? :?

Yes to the first question. For the second go to www.marklewisentertainment.com When you get there go to the "for magicians only" section.

Try a double strike at the lower right side of the pack with you right index finger. Bevel the pack to make it a little easier

Alternate DL

I've started running my thumb along the bottom end and index finger along the top edge. That way 3 sides of the card are managed.

Works for me & it looks OK.
