Sorry to jump in late on this but........
I am an insufferable romantic and will always offer to pay (or sneak and pay before she gets chance!!) Amazing that I can hold a Credit card in Ten-Kai and 'produce it' just when needed!!

I have to say from a bad experience tho - I was out last year and the girl asked to see a couple of tricks - Cue magicandy - they were going SOOOO well that the next two tables got involved too!! Oooops .... nothing like that feeling of being ignored to ruin a date!!!

I don't think paying for a meal is romantic; it's being in charge, bordering on domination

Me my self thinks It is the mans job to look after his lady and should pay but then I have never been out with a lady that offers to pay. If she did other to pay that would make me respect her more because of the fact she’s offered and It would make me fill good in side. I would still would not let her pay unless I fill I am insulting her bye not letting her pay her way I would try and find a way of giving her the money back another day with out insulting her because I am that kind of guy
Maybe a Good thing is if she does of offer to pay it would look like I have a genuine lady and I would try to do my best to keep her. but some might say that I am a mug and that a good way is for a man to pay for one night out and the lady to pay for anther night out but I just fill I would not be doing the mans right thing I would all so let her make the choice of where she would like to go that way I would no she would have had a good night out in the place she like. evry one is different goodluck.
