Ahh the joys of living in good ol' Costa Del Burnley

It did briefly threaten to snow and I saw a few white patches of grass in places, but apart from that - nothing 8)

There's supposed to be a big snow storm moving up to the North West from Wales this afternoon.

Apparently so.

I wouldn't be suprised if my maths teacher sends the homework to my house, he has before.

We've had snow, rain, sleet, hail stone and virtually every other miserable weather you can think of. They refuse to close our school though :x

As I work in a school, I have to say that we enjoy the snow as much as the kids. Snow days rule!!!
If the kids could only see the excitement in the staffroom any time there is a hint of snow.

was almost stuck in Brummy last night... finally got the flight out at 9pm... was meant to be at 4!

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

I'm going out in just a t-shirt and jeans tonight... we're playing pub golf. This is the second time we've played it - it was too easy this time, so this time it's eeeevil pub golf, the fancy dress theme is villains and baddies.

I'm going as Bird Flu

I went to Telford at 11.30am on Friday, it was snowing hard but the trip took less than an hour. The return trip started at 3.30pm and took six agonisingly bum numbing, bladder expanding hours crawling in one traffic jam after another! I suppose it could be worse - a friend of mine arranges skiing trips in Austria and he had a party of folks due to fly out on Friday, they were delayed by several hours but eventually took off and arrived at the ski resort to find there was almost no snow at all  .

After spending hours and hours into the night trying to start and finish a piece of maths coursework, I was bl**dy pi**ed off to hear that school was cancelled the next day. Argh. Oh well. Did have my fair share of snowball fights though.

It cracks me up.
I little bit of snow and the country grinds to a standstill!

first thought when I looked out of the window was
"oh cool it's been snowing"
second thought was
"oh *!^%# it's been snowing"
4 mile trip to work on a ninja 750.
2 wheels are great fun on snow...call me nuts but i kind of enjoyed it.
made it there and back, only near miss was the doughnut that didn't see me coming....makes a change really, there's usually more of them in the dry!

I think it's bad that kids were turned away from school when they had made the effort to get in, many were stranded. When I were a lad (que hovis theme) they just let us mess around in the snow on the fields until hometime or did different lessons with the teachers that did make it in.

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh
