Hi, I don't have the DVD but I have the original booklet. The gimmick took a while to make and on my first attempt I found the instructions a little confusing in a couple of places and ended up scrapping it and starting again. This problem should be eliminated by the use of the DVD. Once made though I thought that it was a great effect and I would recommend it to anyone. There is a review on the Electronic Media Review section.

Cheers,

James

I bought this yesterday from Mike Danata (http://www.mikedanatasmagicstudio.co.uk) and he was saying the same in that a number of people have made similar comment about the booklet being difficult to follow.

I'll be watching the DVD later today and will post my thoughts then.

Hi This is Mike Danata!

I truly believe that this is the best (& most practical!) Card Through Window EVER!!!

The booklet was a little confusing, & I must admit that I gave up on it!

You most definately WILL NOT have any problem with this dvd, it is very clearly explained, I cannot rave enough about this item! Congratulations to Dave Forest.

Incidentally, the clip is up on my website:

www.mikedanatasmagicstudio.co.uk

In stock & ready to go at £19.99 post free!

I hope you like the way my website is progressing, we have everything on it IN STOCK! (plus 1000's of items NOT ON IT! but available in the Studio) We take things off the website when we sell out, then put them back on again when we have them back in. Best Magical Wishes

Mike

thanks everyone for taking the time to reply to my post.
I was wondering though... about the setup of the trick at a certain place before you see the spectator AT that specific place... or can you just do it with the gimmick created and a deck of cards where you walk, i hope this isnt asking you to give up the trick itself.
Thanks and i will def. be purchasing from Danata's magic studio. :]

It does require a quick set up in advance which should take about 90 seconds or so. The set up should not be a probem when performing as it's clearly explained on the DVD and other than this I won't say any more.

Hi, this is Mike Danata again! Still thinking about the Dave Forest Card Through Window effect, & how it might be used in a STAGE/CABARET setting(I just LOVE this effect as you can gather!)

It could be used in a cabaret/stage setting by using a PICTURE FRAME in a stand, covered with a cloth, set further back on the stage.

You'd have a glass picture frame in a stand covered with a cloth, set well away from where you are performing. Card is selected, corner torn off etc, card vanishes, you walk to back of stage, drawing attention to the "Something covered with a cloth, that you've been nowhere near" Spectator, pulls the cloth away, THERE'S THEIR CARD stuck to the outside glass of the picture frame! The corner fits!! You fan the card stuck to the outside, with a fan of cards, & now the card HAS PENETRATED THE GLASS, the spectator has to remove the back of the frame to get the card out, AND THE CORNER STILL FITS!!!!!!!!!!

This is just about the most perfect trick! Close Up - Street Magic - & now STAGE!!

I am hoping VERY SOON, to be able to supply the gimmicks READY MADE UP with this effect!!!! (It may take a while, but WATCH THIS SPACE!!!) We already supply WITH the correct size printed templates.
