Tabary, book or DVDs?

Postby Lady of Mystery » Mar 1st, '07, 11:38

I was having an MSN chat last night with a friend about rope magic.

He's just ordered both the Tabary DVDs for £25. Now I've been looking at the book but at nearly twice the price is it worth it? Is there much material in the book that's not covered in the DVDs?

Thanks :D

I don't have the book, but the DVD's contain all the material you're likely to need.
After all, nobody performs an hour of rope magic - it's too difficult to sustain interest in such a medium.
Further, I think rope magic is far better learned from video than books. The moves are more easily shown than explained.

thanks Saxmad, I'll probabaly go for the DVDs. I do prefer books because I can sit down with them in a quiet corner and learn but for half the price, the DVDs do look favourite

You could also have a word with dat8962, Dave's a rope wizard and will probably be able to point you in the right direction.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
