I'm sure that this'll all turn out fine, the guy was obviously out of line and anyone can see that.

There's probabaly procedures that they have to be seen to follow. Good luck with it all, but I'm sure that nothing will come of it.

Still none of this is very nice for you, so keep your chin up and think pink and fluffy thoughts :D

I dont see what case they can have against me..

Believe me, they have no case. You're a victim of workplace violence. Don't forget that.

I know it's easy to swirl it around in your head in the wee small hours, and language makes things seem to be what they're not, but you're the victim here. You were physically attacked in your workplace and your employer has a duty of care at the very least.

Go to the Citizen's Advice Bureau and they'll put you in the picture. They have briefs there who know the score, and all the legal advice you can eat is free!

If the company tries to dismiss you, you're in line for some serious wonga, matey, and they're in line for a severe battering because you're the one in the right here, not them.

If you have reasonable grounds to assume an assault was about to be made, and I'd class being grabbed by the assailant and having a table inches from your face as being just that, then it would not only be understandable for you to feel threatened, it would be equally understandable for you to defend yourself to prevent/minimise any violence in your direction. Sadly, these tribunal things often take the incident out of context without the lead up and emotion of the event. Stick to the high moral ground and maintain that you were the attacked, not the attacker, and didn't clock the geezer like you could have done.

Thats quite a Pink and Fluffy thought eh?

Im making notes of all the things I am being told, the the things I am thinking and higlighting parts of the statements that prove that I did nothing but use colourful language to react to things being said to me..

I am sure it will be fine.. but not ever having faced so much as a slap on the wrist in any workplace, and only hearing stories of how these things are blown out of the water... Im just a little worried..

Another quick Pink thought... as Im kind of not working so hard due to the stress I am under.. I have sat at my desk practicing my magic.. and that problem I had with my classic palm, whereby I was finding it difficult to just turn my hand over and retain a coin in classic palm without pressing it into place.. has now been solved.. :D All I need is a good lotion as I have come to the conclusion that my hands are a little dry so coin work has been a little harder than it need have been.. but I am there now..

That's brilliant advice. Sod the lot of them. It'll make no difference to the tribunal. It might even help if you were hounded out of a perfectly good job by this bully, leading to emotional and financial stress.

I know a guy who knows a guy he "fixies" problems i.d.... but he wont help you in this case what with being a plumber. I never thought of pool as a violent game what sized table we talking about here.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Also i think you should ask the bossess what they would have done if they were in your position. Put them on the spot and im sure they will say the same thing as you actually did. Good luck tommorow.

They kicked my ass.. they reduced me to a shrivelled potato.. I tried so hard to state my facts and man... I was well prepared.. but NOOOO.. they beat me down..

They only wanted to focus on the 'argument' not the table incident.. as that had been dealt with as in the guy had been sacked..

They focused on me throwing the pool cue, and the wear words I used to the guy.

In the end all they wanted to know was whether I admitted that wearing in the workplace was wrong yes or no? whether throwing comany property was wrong yes or no? whether calling him a tw*t was wrong yes or no? I agreed it was wrong I had no choice

I got a written warning.. but after theyt told me not to worry about it as it means nothing in the grand scheme of things as I have a perfect track history and will probably never get called in again.. and told me in 12 months it will be written off.. and they will also not let affect any promotions I may be eligible for :? then my manager asked me for a game of pool :? :?
