ok guys an gals, what do we think of this coin squeeze trick coz im thinking of geting it along with coin unique if you give the up, i red the reviws on emagictricks an the vidio preview looks good too.

Yes I saw a demo in davenports and it does look like its got great potential. However while i was stood their i managed to figure out how it works, which to be honest tells me it either wasnt performed correctly or its not the best of tricks.
What do the rest of you guys think? As it might just have been me getting my yearly intelegent thought.

its a good trick but the video praticaly gives it away that combined with the close up picture in the e-magic add would certainly give some people a big clue.
i seem to remamber a sword through coin trick that uses a similar priciple, that said though most laymen would not guess the secret especialy if you borrow the coins from them, a change to the presentation would definatly be needed but also remember that in the add they need to state that certain principles are not employed to help sell the product.

case in point the cut and restored rope trick can be advertised as not needing any additional rope pieses and the rope is actualy cut but in performance you would not mention that the rope is actualy cut and that you wernt useing any extra pieces.

I've done it loads of times and never had anyone come close to guessing it. Not as good as dynamic coins but still a worthwhile trick that gets a good reaction.

its cheep, brass so will last a life time, portable, small but plays big, involves the audience and is examinable.

certainly meets the criteria for a frequently used trick and not a back of the draw one

personaly i'd go for dycipher II instead of this one or maybey 50 / 50 from e-magic tricks for a brass effect.

some people may suspect the turn over move shown which i cant say is needed as i dont actualy have this item, but by my bench mark it would be on par with the dynamic coins which i have had afew in my time.

Hmm 50/50 is a card trick that can't be compared to coin squeeze, or am I missing something??

I wonder if anyone else has had this issue with coin squeeze - the 'coin' is set to go, and I start to place in my coins at the top and suddenly one 'drops through' before I expected it to. This is ok when I place my second third or fourth coin in, but obviously looks pretty bad after I've only placed the first coin into the top

Does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if it's because I bought cheap version (not sure what make it is as it was second hand).

A possible way around is placing it onto the table each time, but I think it looks great shaking it and the specs seeing it fall out.

If you could let me know if you've had this issue also, or know of a good quality one to buy, I'd be really grateful

If you're careful with your angles whilst loading the coins, you shouldn't get premature coin droppage, if you catch my drift.

As in not keeping it vertical? - good idea

Personally I think that you have to keep it in the vertical position as specs will very quickly pick up on the fact that you keep tilting the assembly and draw conclusions from this.

It just needs a little 'care' when loading the coins but when one does slip through you can usually cover this with some patter - different consistency of the metal, impatience etc.

You only need to keep the unit very slightly off the vertical axis; I'm not talking 45 degree angles here! It never gets picked up on, assuming you keep a steady stream of misdirectional patter going.
