got a query relating to the sounds
the coin sounds different on against different surfaces...how to compensate?

something called misdirection, you can talk louder in the patter, direct the attention of the audience to something else etc. You can also handle the coins more carefully so that there isn't as much noise.

I take it you mean once they've seen the coin go into the bottle and you're rattling it about?

If so it should just be a case of rattling it from side to side good and hard to get the sound you want, if you know what I mean.

yeah
when you're rattling it about, the sound doesn't reflect the side to side motion of the rattling coin

Hmm, that's not been an issue for me. The only thing I can suggest is resizing the gimmick perhaps. PM me if you like it's a bit hard to say more in public.

as long as the soecs hear coin on glass the finer points of the noises don't matter, that first clink when the coin goes in sells it completely, imho.
don't do the same movement after the fact, keep the bottle upright untill its handed out. then the specs aren't listening to the noise they're looking for the hole
