Ultimate Ace Assembly

I just started practicing this effect and love it. I haven't performed it yet, so I can't say whether this will be much of an issue but I was wondering what you guys do with regards the 'sound problem'? Obviously there's nothing like some good ole fashioned misdirection to help here. I'd like to hear any tips or tricks you have.

There are a few Ace Assembly's around.

As you're mentionning a sound issue can we assume that you're talking about the Oz Pearlman Ace Assembly off Penguin?

If so then a number of people have been disappointed with this one and there are better ones without using that particular principle (s****y cards).

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Yes, in case it wasn't clear from my OP I'm refering to the Ultimate Ace Assembly by Oz Pearlman available at Penguinmagic (and maybe other places).

Personally I haven't come across any better ones than this so I'd be interested to hear what you consider to be a better version.

As said in other posts, there is a ton of variations on this type of effect...I don't like the sound issue you are talking about, and find it to be the only real downfall to the routine on Penguin......I do use it on occasion when performing in louder venues where there is plenty of backround noise.....never use it in a house party setting or an elegant dining room show...more of a pub effect, trade show effect, etc.....consider your surroundings when doing it and the sound will not be as much of an issue!
