Hello fellow magicians. I know that there are restrictions with this forum with regards to sharing the secrets of magic, but I have a request and perhaps someone can find a way to help me without breaking the rules.
I am a long time card magician, but very limited with other varieties of magic. I plan on giving my lady a bracelet for out upcoming anniversary and I would like to present it to her through the use of magic, rather than just giving it to her. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could do this in an exciting fashion for her? If you'd prefer not to disclose a method on here, perhaps one of you would have the name of a trick I can research? Or, if one of you would like to trade an idea I have many many card magic techniques and tricks I would be willing to trade. Thank you.

Maybe the "Anything from deck" by Lennart Green on his first DVD. I saw a lousy performance of it, so I think I know the method. You should be able to produce the bracelet inside the case.

Another idea would be to secretly slip it on her wrist while taking ahold of both of them. Like a backwards watch steal. I'm tired right now, so my idea might be impossible.

Maybe produce it as the finale for Cups and Balls.

Wait... nothing outside card magic, right? Darn... :?

What kind of bracelet is it? Can you describe?

A nice idea.
A simple production would be to twist up pieces of special "tissue paper" (nudge nudge, ;) ;) ). Twisting the ends of several pieces together if need be should not be a problem.
Form these into a circle matching the diameter of the bracelet. Light, throw into the air and magically it transforms into a gleaming piece of bling for your beloved.

I will leave the exact handling of this to you, but a few methods come to mind.

oh, and congratulations :D

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

Thanks guys :)

It's a small silver bracelet, a bit like a tennis bracelet. The tissue paper idea sounds intriguing....... I'll have to try some methods. Due to my large experience only being in CARD magic I'll have to do some serious research, but I can imagine her liking that one...

Spun sugar paper? To dissolve?

Uh - nope; I'm guessing they're talking about the type of pape you can get from magical suppliers which is supplied slightly damp, and shares the first name of a 1960's B-Movie Sci-Fi Hero who frequently fought against Ming the Meciless!

(I know, I know - that's kinda qualifies as anti-exposure overkill  )

 :o

Light, throw into the air and magically it transforms into a gleaming piece of bling for your beloved.

Seriously, though - don't wrap the paper 'round her wrist before lighting/transforming...or she really will have a permanent reminder of the bracelet - burned into her skin :?

Only problem is that you can't buy that paper here in Australia. You cant import it either (unless you want to be passed around a cell like a peace pipe for 6 months)

Do any number of coin tricks that end with the production of a jumbo coin and substitute the bracelet for the coin.
