I just got home about 2 hours ago and have spent about 30 min playing with this amazing device. It comes in a dental floss stlye case with easy access to the elastic. Even if the elastic gets sucked in the case you can just open up the case and pull it back out again. At first I was a bit skeptical but I have used mesika's loops before and I thought I would give it a go after purchasing million dollar knot. After comparing mesika elastics with my other elastic I found there is really no comparision. Visability is just like his loops which means nearly invisible to the naked eye. Since it comes with 100 ft of elastic you have lots of practice use but I would not recommend this to a beginner in magic because of the price and the probability that a beginner will most certainly want to learn using the premade loops (less waste). I recommend these with the million dollar knot method: if you have surgeons hands... .
Also this is strong elastic and if used proper will last with I am thinking a few months or more of daily use ( that has yet to be proven but I will let you all kno with that one..). If you can "loop"em then you can make em as small or big as you like. There are other types of elastic on the market but if you enjoy Mesika's loops I definately recommend getting this. i used this with the S.T.E.A.L.T.H knot system and found all it did was slip. hmm, maybe ill have to have a go with million dollar knot

I am thinking of getting some of this as it seems more cost effective than Loops.
Is this thread stronger than that used with Loops? I find them too weak to do most of the routines they are meant to and break with the minimal amount of pressure.

OK, I felt similarly excited about Paul or Ben Harris (never remem first name) super thread..... fantastic properties but sadly difficult to use in the Stealth system etc for homemade loops so I'm wondering how does it stack up comparatively..... I have just recieved this thread for the first time from here on MagicMagic and I have a query...
I've popped the little cap off, and I can see this tube inside of the dispenser. It's got thread around it, but I look at the end of the strand and it's DARK black. It's thick and really dark. What more can I say! I can see it on my finger when it rests on it, because it stands out so much! Maybe I'm missing something here, and I have to strip it, but in the advert it says it's a "single strand" of the thread, and I have also never seen Mesika thread before, so I don't know if that's how it is meant to look. A few months ago I bought S.T.El.Th loops and some Silkworm thread, without ever having bought a packet of official loops because of people saying how expensive and fragile they were, but I managed to make Silkworm loops myself, and they were really invisible and tough, but now I've messed up the reel, and can't get anymore thread off of it, (probably only used 100 out of the 500 foot spool) so I decided this looked good, and saved up my pocket money for this.

But now I've got it, it doesn't seem like IET, it seems like ET, because I can really see it. With Silkworm thread, it was possible to see it, but only if you really looked hard, so I used a bright light to see it when tying loops. Now though, I have bought some thread that isn't even partially invisible, and it seems I've wasted my money. I haven't actually taken any off the tube yet, because I've seen it from just looking at the tip off it, because I'm actually not sure how I'd get it off even if it was invisible and I might even consider using it.
I guess I just get the end and put it through the little hole in the top, and around the metallic looking thing...
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me.
Does it need stripping? Do I need to try it out and see if it is invisible? Is it possible that I have a "dud" piece of thread? Am I right in saying what I said about taking out some thread? And, is the thread meant to be this F*****g black?!!!
Sorry for getting angry, but I feel I've wasted my money, so any help will be hugely appreciated.
