which card dvd do u think is best

None!

I would say go for an Ammar ETMCM dvd or a Jay Sankeys Rev Card Magic DVD.

Ellusionist = Hype! (and yes they do put commercials on some of the DVDs!)

I second that emotion. "None of the above."

I didn't learn from a book or a DVD, but some of the resources I used to enhance what I'd picked up were RRTCM, Art of Astonishment, and the IMS series (all 50 vids... everything you'd ever want to know!)
