Proof reader required for my mentalism ideas

Postby cromarty » Apr 27th, '07, 21:47

Hello there,

I have posted earlier in the introductions section. My name is Cromarty. I am currently writing a document about my designs and theories on what many of you may call Mentalism. I am looking for someone sufficiently reliable and trustworthy to read over what I have written so far in confidence. I am looking for opinions on my writing style and pacing. I will not be sharing my major techniqes at this point with you. I do not belong to the traditional magic community and much of what I do would not be deemed "magic" in your tradition sense.

Please could you advise me of suitable persons and their backgrounds.

Regards,
Cromarty

And I forgot to mention. It would not require a huge amount of work. Just reading over a few chapters. No more than 15 to 20 pages. In return I will provide you with a copy of the finished manuscript.

Thanks,
Cromarty

http://magicdiscopartypeople.co.uk/sponoredbook.aspx if you think a fellow writer and a magician would help let me know.

I'm also a writer although part time and have been published (internationally), although NOT anything to do with magic but I can proof read if you need a hand.

PM me if you would like more details and no-one else is willing.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I don't know enough about mentalism to help you but I think if you PM'd Craig Browning he'd be more than happy to help you out.

Personally, I think it should be someone you already know and trust. Asking for a stranger to recommend another stranger is asking for trouble.

Besides, what exactly do you mean by proofread?

I would be inclined to agree with Tomo, in that it may be wise to have someone you personally know check through the manuscript for you. Of course, if you are unable to do so, I can see your reasoning behind asking for assistance.

However, if you are still after someone to read through your manuscript(s) and ensure the spelling is accurate and the structure, etc. coherent, I would be happy to help.
