Spiderman Musical

Postby monker59 » Apr 20th, '07, 23:01

I have just received some awful news. As of this moment there is a musical being put together that will perform on Broadway starring the friendly neighborhood Spiderman  ! Now, this could be just me, but I feel this is totally ruining the comic. I mean, the Justice League was never a subject of veignettes  . Apparently the costume desiner from the Lion King musical is teaming up with Bono for music in the show. Don't get me wrong, though, I love U2 and Bono. I am just stunned that someone would have the gall to try and squeeze a musical out of the webbed avenger. I love the movies and I am so excited for the third one coming out soon. Has anyone else heard about this? I need some support!

oh god!
spiderman is one of the best super heros ever really. musicals can be great or terrible. i think this is going to be c*** (not the best)! with the likes of U2 and Bono it can't be good really.

however, the third film looks immense! can't wait until it comes out!

Hey, don't be raggin' on U2 and Bono. They're great musicians. It's just that Bono can get a little overzealous sometimes.

This is the worse idea since the U.K joined the EU or some one commisionend friends.

If bono is something to do with it i see "spidey going to africa and saving the world from hunger. And installing that terrorist Mandela as president of the world" I think it was bono or someone like him who once introduced mandela as president of the world there for he supports terrorisim.

Anyway it could be worse Bob the builder the musical.

Musicals can be done well. For example, the Buffy musical 'Once More With Feeling'. But that was a 42-minute (yup, I'm a nerd) single TV episode.

Still, be interesting to see how this one turns out!

Cardza will be glad to know the sound track for said episode is avliable on cd. Batamn the Adam West one would have been a great musical.
