Mystery Mayhem Weekend -- 2008

Postby Craig Browning » May 24th, '07, 19:00

Alright boys & girls here's the deal...

I've been toying with the idea of hosting a very informal 3-day/2-night weekend here in Western Mass for several months now. I've done some footwork on the idea and now it's time to open the doors a bit. Especially for those of you in the UK and other parts of the world that may wish to save up and make arrangements to be here for what is looking to be a most interesting "72-Hours" of fun.

Unlike most "conventions" I'm creating a "total package" in which food, limo service from http://www.bradleyairport.com/home to the convention site and other "extras" are all inclusive in the price, so don't let the up-front rate shock you too much, it covers much more than normal.

Tentatively we are looking at the second weekend of May 2008, the primary meeting place being the http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=MA117 here in http://www.noho.com

This is NOT a "Mentalism Only" gathering but covers the wider breadth of what Mystery Entertainment is i.e. Bizarre styled magick and certain aspects of Oratory-Theater/Storytelling, Seance Workers, etc.

There will be an "early bird" workshop on the preceding Thursday and Friday as a bonus to those that can arrive ahead of schedule and as things stand presently, there will be at least one public performance in one of the local theaters (pending).

FYI

I've created a special email address for those interested in keeping posted on this event. Simply send me a note expressing your interest with the subject line reading: MAY MYSTERY MAYHEM 2008

That sounds very good. I'm on the sea side of Massachusetts and transportation should be no problem for me. I should be able to go (this is embarrassing to say) if my mom will let me  . But by then I'll be seventeen and a senior in high school and she should have no problem with it. Anyways, sounds very cool, I'd love to hang out with some TM folks in person!

I'd be interested in that alright.

Although I would probably have to travel alone, I don't wanna sound like a norman no friends but I don't have any mates into magic.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Im the same, it seems a long way to travel for us Brits. But hey, it will probably be worth it, just to meet up with all of you guys :D

It'd be nice to put some names to faces.

What sort of scale are we talking here? Tens? Hundreds? Thousands? Blackpool?!?!?!

All the best,
Croz
