Oh I ve done that with the coin bend my self. It works a treat also I think you can have an "after effect" they may not feel it at first but after they see the coin bent they will start saying i felt it get hot etc.

Do you think some people wouldnt be able to pull of suggestion at all though?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

I think that suggestion has a lot to do with confidence and people's belief that you can actually do what you claim to do - so certainly there will be people who won't get that right, or just aren't believable. At the same time a lot of that confidence comes from just doing it. There are a couple methods that I find are pretty sure fire - and as you said, a coin bend is a great place to start because no matter what happens - the coin is bent.

With this kind of thing presentation is obviously everything and I don't think that one is going to pull this off after doing sponge rabbits or something. This is one of those examples of the difference between magic and mentalism ;)

To go off on a little bit of a tangent, Dale A. Hilderbrant's 'Risk and Reward' has some excellent ideas for the use of suggestion in a coin effect, well worth a look.
