CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!! (EDITED)

Postby mattmagic » Jun 1st, '07, 11:18

Guys,

I once saw a trick being performed on spanish television.

It involved a black close up mat, and what i can only descride as a white net curtain ( dont panic i am going somwhere with this!)

One by one selected cards were held by the magician over the top of the close up mat, with the net curtain over the top of his hand and card.

With a little flick the card visually ( i say visually, however the net curtain is not 100% transarant) vanishes!

haha i found a video of it here!!! slightly different to what i remembered but here you go!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv5eRpDxewA

Im pretty sure how the trick is done, but i wondered if anybody else had seen anything like this or knew where to get it from?

Thanks in advance

Matt

I've never seen this before but the vanishes themselves look very magical. Pretty sure i know where they go, but it looks excellent.

Very nice.

I too know how it's done. And it's a beautiful handling.

I am not sure it's available commercially, but you could very easily make this yourself.

Very nice effect indeed. Thanks for posting that. I am pretty much convinced I know how the card is vanished but it is a nice bit of thinking if I'm right. Easy too. Unless i have it wrong....but I think I have it right....cant be sure though

That's very good. Even I could figure out how it works though.

I'm pretty sure I've seen clips of Juan Tamariz on the same show, floating around on YouTube. Looks great.

well aren't you quite the clever clogs  I only have a very vague idea, but just enjoyed it, the first piece of magic I've watched in a while that actually struck me as magical, and I wasn't sat there thinking "well for that he uses that technique, for that he plams...etc"
