You're probably right. Add to that the thousands of pounds worth of coins that I would have lost while trying to palm them out on the street, and I'm a lot better off for it.

I'm pretty sure it stands for Compulsory Unnecessary Purchase Syndrome...at least that's what I've picked up from my short stay here.

Basically it means you can't stop buying magic products. It's a real hassle for some of the senior members of the forum.

And it's great for those members of the forum who run online magic shops. The advertising on this site must pay for itself many times over.

I have suffered C.U.P.S since i started posting here, and this is the first time i have admitted it i have bought around 10 books, 30 packs of cards, sponges, cups, balls, coin gimmicks and gimmicked decks, and gimmicks in general, it also led me into juggling but i have never been so contented in all my life

yup. best place for most books but there are some you can only get from proper magic dealers.

Well, I'm now turned onto cards.
Spent the morning playing with my new stripper deck. I've thought of a way of improving them a bit.
With a bit of careful working, I now have a deck that has some Svengali characteristics too.

Reading the Royal Road over lunch time, was informative and a bit of a hoot. It's rather quaint isn't it?
I like the way they say in the preface that patter is as important as the sleights themselves, and should mirror one's personality.
Now.... Just need to decide if I'm “Gay and Amusing” or “Factual and Serious”.
