An egg is broken into a canister. A card is clamped on top, then the canister is turned upside down, and placed on a boy's head. It seems that the card is keeping the broken egg from running on the boy's head. The card is then removed, (the card says "Do Not Remove"- a bit of comedy!) but the beaten egg does not run down the boy's head- it has vanished! And when the canister is lifted, there is a tall glass of candy, which may be handed out to the audience. A great comedy routine!

(Candy is not included. Small favors, popcorn, confetti, etc. could also be used if desired.)

ok what you see in the picture is what you get you will need to suply your own egg and final load, sweets silks etc.


Overall
the obligatory one page of photostatid instructions already wearing off are clear and to the point my only quibble is i expected a foo-can arrangment for the egg to go in but they use a diferent arrangment which disapointed me.
the rest of the props are well constructed and value for money and i could see myself cracking a whole carton of eggs into the can for comic effect with no messy cleanup afterwards its all selfcontained.

so value for money 9/10 effect 10/10 because of varing load possibilities.

This was one of my first magic tricks which I bought when my daughter asked me to entertain ant my grand daughters 8th birthday.

I really like this, it is simple, visual and has a great potential for comedy. It is slightly angle sensitive and one over bright spark wanted to know why I didn't have egg all over my hands like her mum did when she cracked eggs!. We agreed that I must be a better cook than her mum!

Forget the eggs. Messy. You're storing up time & trouble. Go back to Ali Bongo's original idea (Abra,The Bongo Book(Magic inc. publised 1966)& Ken Brooke marketing.I have since 1973. Use spring flowers, weighted at the bottom,( PM me) and the Evaporated Milk Jug. I've used the Magic Hands sealed Milk glass ( Practical Magic & others sell it) for 17 years. Then there's not even a jug to wash out.

I have contemplated purchasing this trick on a number of occasions but I always back out for the fear that there will be a mess to clean up afterwards. Nonetheless, I have always believed a trick like this would go down exceptionally well with children.

(I also loved the look on that girls face on the video clip! She was either surprised when the guy cracked the egg open over her hear or she is one hell of a good actress !)

why messy? I suggest you do not really get the concept of the trick. of course the egg is ******, so a bit of preparation is involved befor the performance. Once on stage, the re is no liquid or smear at all. It all happens in tzhe spactators heads.

I have been performing this for more tha ten years now and it is a great comedy idea. If you wish I coild post a video on youtube, soon.

I don't think that this hint is giving the secret away. If so, the performance on the demo gives away much more if you watch closely.

The potential lies in the routine, not in the egg itself. After all, talking about a trick milk glass in earlier posts only says the same: Things are not what they appear to be.

i agree, i spotted the method for the egg in the demo vid straight away, it's a shame for the creator when demo vids do this.
I'm going to start a thread in misc about this as I'm sure everyone susses things out from the demo vids sometimes.

Well what can we say abt good o'll mak. Mr. Tipton gave a very good
advice and info. Great 4 kids shows if yr so inclined. Prep yr eggs by making pin holes on each end and empty them. Wash and store them 4 future shows they last. O if ya into celluloid eggs just place shell into white vinegar 4 a good day. go to it.

Hi guys, just signed up to this forum and as I am a big fan of this effect I thought that I would add my two penneth!

In my performance I like to follow the egg with a BIG hefty squirt of water, which the children clearly see going in.
Then when I lift the can the child is found with a silk on his/her head!

Messy - Have not found it to be!
The can is stowed away in my RO table and all is sorted later.
