If so, you could call them and perform one of the many card over the phone tricks that are out there. Once you know the card they are thinking of, ask them to keep the card in their mind and you'll finish the trick at your next meeting. Then post their thought of card to them, along with your business card. That should get their attention!
Whilst we're on the subject of posting cards, you need to hear this (true) story...
Me and a few friends went out for drinks last Thursday. We got progressively drunker as the night went on, naturally. Come 3am and the walk home someone suggested I 'do some card tricks'. So I take my deck out and do some stuff before someone suggests I demonstrate my card throwing skills. I proceed to hit street lights and signs etc. as we walk down the street. Then we pass a postbox and my friend suggested I throw a card in there. So I did, after writing my name, my work address and 'Freepost' on the Ace of Diamonds. (My company is not a freepost company so I never in a million years expected to see it again!)
Anyway, amazingly, it arrived on my desk this morning! I couldn't believe it! That's got to be the best card transposition EVER.
Over the last few months Royal Mail have lost or failed to delivery a passport and numerous booking confirmations to my home yet a playing card with drunken scribbles on it makes it through their sorting office and safely to its destination without anyone paying a penny! I am not going to waste any more money on stamps - that's for sure.
Obviously, DO NOT try this yourself. I do not think hundreds of magicians posting cards with 'freepost' written on them is going to help our postal system, especially with the amount of strikes going on at the moment.
I just had to share that with you all because it's the first time I've been impressed by a card trick in a long time!
