Right, due to my disappointment at not being able to: get the night off work/ pull myself together and sort out train tickets/ afford to actually go to the meeting in Leeds; I've decideed to see if we can form our own little splinter group and see if we can't organise another northern get together.

So far my plan is pretty vague but is based on the idea that I'm only an hours train journey from Manchester so for me that'd be a pretty decent meeting spot (I'm sure there are plenty of pubs/bars/strip-joints where we can exhibt our talents). If possible I reckon a summer meeting would be cool, see if we can form a get together for July or August, however I guess this may be difficult if anyone is away on some form of summer holiday.

Anyway, this is the fairly menial plan so far and I'm open to suggestions (it doesn't have to be Manchester I just thought that might be a cool place). If anyone really enjoyed the Leeds trip (I know it hasn't happened yet), was dissapointed they couldn't make it either or just generally fancies the sound of a friendly magician get together then post a reply and we'll see what we can sort out. Everyone's welcome.

Yeah, why not? Depends on how Leeds goes, but yeah, I'd be interested.

Unless, of course i get kidnapped, shoved in the back of a skoda, and tied to a pillar in someone's basement, having my fingers slowly cut off, in which case, I might give it a miss.

Hey I'm easy if Leeds is easier for everyone then I'm sure I can make it there. All I'm after is a good old fashioned gathering with plenty of folks so we can make a proper party.

Hopefully without the loss of fingers...

Manchester is about £40 away from Nottingham Can no one get closer to the East Midlands..

I might have to start an Midlands meet up..

I may be able to do Leeds.. still over £25 a ticket.. but it might be worth it if enough go..

Leeds went well, if not a little short on numbers, and all 10 fingers are still well and truly intact, so I will try and make any I can.

We are putting one together in Wetherspoons in Leeds station, about 11am on the 12th of August which could be fun, but keep us posted on any developments of this one.

Seriously now, we want to be up north. I've heard about the Leeds meeting and I have a feeling this thread may turn into the rather more popular 'oop north' post. If anyone here fancies Leeds and hasn't posted it on the other thread do so now!
