Great post nameless! It gave me quite a laugh.

I got to see this a day before it came out- worked a Harry Potter premier party (isn't being a magician great?), it is incredible! I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's the best movie they've had. Great special effects + great story = great movie.

The only thing that was bad about it was that they had to leave a lot of stuff out because of the size of the book, and in doing so, they left out a few key points and parts.

If you have a chance and are into the Harry Potter series, go out and see it. If you have a chance, are not into Harry Potter, but love action movies, still go and see it (although you do need background knowledge on the other 4 books/movies).

Have fun watching it if you do!

I've about this aswell, but not to long ago, J.K Rowling, said that it was a fake, some dude or dudette who wrote their own version. So thats not how the 7th book will be;)

Getting back to H.Potter for a mo - on the radio this morning it was mentioned that Childline, the UK charity organisation set up for kids who are frightened or being physically /mentally bullied or abused, to phone for advice and counselling, have taken on extra staff specifically to deal with the expected spate of calls from Potter fans who are traumatised by the demise of one (or two) of the characters in the new book. You couldn't make it up, could you ?

Sadly it is; for those in the UK it was on Heart FM at 9 o'clock this morning. I suspect that most kids reading the book who actually are upset will get over it in their own good time - just like we all have to do!

honestly, I love Harry Potter but thats ridiculous, being too traumatized

The morning TV news inteviewed a couple of kids who'd been reading the novel since midnight and the young girl was asked in three different ways if they were upset or troubled by the sad parts. Each time the she just replied, 'Nah!'

How uncooperative of her... an "untroubled" teenager just wont sell near as many newspapers as a delirious traumatised one... oh well.

My kids, boys aged 7 and 11 told me they were a little disappointed by the new HP flick. On the other hand they said Transformers was FANTASTIC!
