Image Grabber

Postby Max Gordon » Jul 13th, '07, 16:03

I've read the blurb & watched the video clip, but I would still like a review or the answers to a couple of questions.

Can the performer gain access to the information whilst in full view of the spectators. without turning his back etc.

How quickly can this be re-set for strolling work

How well does this prop compare against a peek wallet for example.

Best advice would be to contact the guy who developed Image Grabber - S. Lea (website = http://mental-magic.com ) by PM or e-mail, I'm sure he'll be happy to give you the nitty gritty  !

I'm not convinced that the best way to get an unbiased view is from the creator. I am sure we all favour our own inventions over others, thats why we created them in the first place.

Given the cost I will probably order the prop anyway, but would still appreciate comments good or bad from anyone who has used it.

No worries Max, I can appreciate that  . I'm not sure if it's being sold yet or not and, unless I've missed it, there certainly isn't a Review here on TM as yet.

It is out, but the website is showing it as out of stock (there's more booklets being printed apparantly).

However - it is also currently available as a download from Lybrary.com - $20!!

Bearing in mind that you get one ready-made pad with the hardcopy set, and then have to make further ones yourself, I'd be tempted to just go for the download, and see what you think.

Max - if you do get this, please bang a review up; I'm quite interested in this myself now

I have this and I like it for certain settings. Simon will actually tell you straight up if you PM him....

I have this device and like the basic premise. I think more can go into it that would make it "superior" to what it is presently but all in all, it's quite cool and could prove practical.

A variant to this can be found in Bob Cassidy's notes as "The Shirt Pocket Swami" or "Mind Reader in the Pocket". I've used this method for years and it is likewise clean and quite unsuspected.
