BUSIEST SUMMER EVER!

Postby monker59 » Jul 24th, '07, 04:07

I don't know about you guys, but since I got out of school in mid June I've been drowning in work. So far this summer I've bought $1600 in new professional clothes (which is no picnic for me) for a Forum on opportunities in the medical field, been to said forum for ten days working for 16 hours a day, reading my eight summer reading books thanks to all my AP classes, doing summer work for both AP Calculus and AP Chemistry, working at a home improvement store where I assemble products for customer who are too lazy to do it themselves (:P), dealing with my four cousins who visited me (of the the four cousins are twins which can't go ten minutes without fighting), and installing new RAM on my computer which took days because I had no idea what I was doing. I feel like less than a man. I am a mere assemblage of parts.

I NEED CHEERING UP!

Hey, at least you've discovered your work ethic.

I spent my last summer holiday of school unravelling the spaghetti code some programmers had thrown at a computer when writing a VAT accounting system. My, how they laughed at my dry run sheets and flow charts, but when I started finding the bugs they couldn't, they shut up. They'd literally sat and typed until things seemed to work and that was all! I know Karma Chameleon was No. 1 for the six weeks of the holiday because I had to get up at 7.30 every morning and the chart was on Breakfast telly every Thursday at that time.

The worst part is that I haven't picked up anything magic related for weeks!

I have to make up for lost time somehow. Maybe I'll just stop sleeping . . .
