Jones Change problem

Postby ChristianL » Jul 27th, '07, 15:13

I've bought Dan & Dave's Trilogy and it's great.. :D
I've tried to do the Jones Change but everytime I do it I end up showing the same card after the change as before.. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, and i've watched the explanation over and over again, but I still don't get it.. Anyone got any tips...?

Exactly the same problem mate.

Im sure they teach it wrong, because thats not how it looks in performance.

I think, although not certain, when you make the change, you are meant to swap the cards, then repeat the part on the video as part of the clean up.

I think the card is supposed to go UNDER the card that you have discreetly hidden.

But Im guessing there. I think they teach it wrong. As ive watched over and over and I think they show the same card too in explanation!!

I'm sorry but I'm not quite sure if that was ironic. Was it wrong? :D

They do teach it wrong. Just pull the other card instead. Dan and Dave said that they might make a new video for it but I think it's only for the people who bought it from their site.

If you look closely dave starts with the 6 of clubs and ends up with it in the end ! The problem must be where the cards have to change

I'll say it again... Just pull the other card instead. It actually is not all that different. It was just a mistake in the teaching that shockingly, was not picked up.

Try and use your index and middle finger to peel the card. NOT the card that Dave tells you to.
