Postby Michael Kras » Jul 26th, '07, 22:28

Hello,

I am having trouble with the Flippant Move... I cannot get the card to flip at all. Any help or tips you could give are great! Thank you!

Mike, I think your new signature might be a bit too big...

Anyways, you have to have the double very squared and your hand has to come down in a jerkish, but quick manner.

Sankey has advice on his Rev. Card Magic dvd.

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

The flippant change is the perfect example of a knack in magic. do it six million times, then you can do it. we can give you tips, but that wont do the trick, as you know.
just keep your movements smooth.. it's very hard.

Make sure you're hand is about 40 degrees tilted clockwise (anti-clockwise if you are left handed). Quite a big jerk downwards is needed in the beginning (as I remember when I was practising) but after some practice, a very small jerk is needed.

Mr G Wilson goes over this move on his DVD Pyrotechnic Pasteboards

A direct down movement is his tip I think
