In need of a trick...

Postby Serendipity » Jul 26th, '07, 00:40

I'm currently playing with the idea of a short card routine based around rapport between the magician and the spectator. I've worked out a couple of effects for it, one where two cards are drawn for different decks, and (amazingly!) they are the same card. The second is a simple trick with a boon and a memorised deck.

Basically I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an effect that they think might fit in with these effects, as I'm currently drawing a blank. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry to ask for something so vague...

OK, what you basically have is a straight forward "do as i do" trick. You could develop it into a relationship between 2 different spectators. A very good example of such a trick would be Derren Brown's "Romantic Card Trick" see below

Anything along these lines would, I think you will agree, blow your spectators' minds. Obviously, the secret can't be revealed on this site, but if you think about some basic ideas, you will figure it out.

Good luck.

All the best,

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
