Is this an actual trick that can be bought?

Which part do you refer to? It's all pretty standard stuff.

The 'card case vanish' is easy to make yourself, or there's a pre-made commercial version available.

The final reveal in the card case requires the use of a standard stooge-midget, secreted beneath the table (an ex employee of the US Playing Card Corp would be an advantage)

Make sure you stay away from the union stooge-midgets. A couple of weeks back I had to cancel a show because mine were on strike...Little buggers.

And I remember the good old days when you could get a Polish Oompa Loompa full-time for a whole week for the cost of a bag of flour.

lol. Yes it's all standard up to the end which is what I was referring to. So far I have gotten USPCC Midget Stooges, and snap misdirection for deck swap via his penis

I think it's clips on YouLube like these which keep the magic community spirit alive... there's a good chance that NOBODY knows how Cyril does these things except Cyril and his production crew.

Now THAT'S magic!

hmm the first insert of the signed card gets me :? looks like a standard t**t but then he turns around the deck and taps it in seemingly a third of the way down?

anyhoo, havent seen many of his effects, but i like his work.

For the most part looks like pretty standard stuff. I know a few years back George Schindler was marketing a signed card in a sealed box. Obviously I cannot say from watching the clip if that is indeed what he used but I can tell you the effect is, or was on the market. It is (or was) a show-biz product. Most of the routine was standard slight of hand.

Sometimes it seems Cyril is just taunting magicians, it's so simple, and I'm sure the sleights are amazingly simple, but you cant get them. Everyone gets that "Ah-HA!" feeling when they buy a trick, "It's that simple" i remember when I first got my I.D- i could not figure it out when i was waiting for it to arrive...

there is something truely magical about the first time you saw an ACR... bewildered by such impossible card work. if you could help your specs capture the essence of that amazement... the first time "you" saw an ACR, with every effect you perform... that's magic at it's best.

once you know how it's done... it just ain't the same. but that's the idea right.

ok just to be clear.. I was referring to the final signed card in sealed box. Lol, not the entire routine.

Wondering if there is a practical "everyday" use-able effect like this on the market (the signed card in sealed box) which isn't a ga-billion quid?

Why not invent one? There's nothing like a challenge...

I have seen this vid beofe, on a TV show through the internet - I love his work, and even though David Blaine does a similar trick with the bent card (fruit loops? or something like that in one of his TV / DVD shows) I think this version is much better :)

Need to get me one of those midgets though :)
