Saw Marc Salem in London.

I took my family to see Marc Salem in London this week. What an excellent performer he is.
The Tricycle is a small and intimate theatre that really suits his style. It was a 3pm performance and there was a real family type audience. The lighting was subtle, music played before the start, and I really liked the way his props were simply laid out on a table and chair, ready for the off.

Salem quickly engages his audience, and we were treated to 90 minutes of great mentalism entertainment. He tries to involve everyone, and he does it in a really nice, non threatening way.

The effects were varied, and nearly all known to me. But he can still take a well known, ‘simple’ effect and with his witty humour and very well thought choreographing of the effect, with plenty of audience member involvement, make it something really special.

Bank Nite, a well know Book Test, a Magic Square, all used to fantastic effect.

Marc Salem is … Marc Salem. His style suits what he does. A joy to watch, and my wife and children enjoyed it too.

Excellent!

Piers.
