Yeah, the reason I said some were grey areas is it's debateable whether to leave them, move them, or add them.

Or delete them!

There's no harm in having more than one review on a topic or item, in fact the more the merrier as it give a broader cross section of opinion to help others decide whether to buy or not. It helps if additional reviews are added on to the original thread to keep topics together and easier to read through. If someone posts their review on several Discussion Boards then that's OK as well - it's their work and they can tell as many people as they like.

It becomes a bit 'iffy' when someone else's review is copied and pasted from elsewhere as there could be repercussions from the original author. It's fine to quote sections as long as they're credited but, to be on the safe side, copying and pasting complete reviews is risky so best avoided. Ideally what we look for is a Review from someone who actually owns and knows the item in question and can give their personal opinion on it - good or not so good.

I agree with your comments Bicycle808.

I see no reason why poorly written reviews should remain, particularly as poor posts are also being removed.

I think that it would be great to have a review index and that this is something that would be appreciated by the majority of the membership. Need to work on who will keep it up to date as new reviews are written, although these don't come along too often in relation to the number of other posts.

Bicycle808 has very kindly compiled and is maintaining Review listings for the three new areas. We'll move stuff over from the old area as and when appropriate and those will need to be added to the appropriate Index.
