Effect: What it isn't
Publisher:FULL52
PRICE: pdf £5.99 Manuscript and gaffs £7.50
From: http://www.full52.com

I have just finished reading this and delved into my little magic case for the needed gaffs, which I will bet 90% of you will have laying around. Now before I continue let me show you the blurb from the full52 page.

"WHAT IT ISN'T by Cameron Francis. A printing effect inspired by the Hofzinser Ace Problem.

'WHAT IT ISN'T' is absolutely perfect for the strolling or table hopping performer. You can launch into the effect at any time during your set and the re-set is quick and easy. This is a stunning trick that is very easy to do - Cameron Francis has done it again!

Effect: From a red backed deck, a card is selected and lost back into the pack. Four blue backed cards are introduced - they all have blank faces. The magician announces: "I'm going to use these blank cards to tell me what your card ISN'T!" One by one, the magician magically prints the blanks with the faces of the mates of the selection! "These three cards, tell me what it ISN’T. This last blank is going to tell me what your card IS - it will change places with your card in the deck!" The magician gives the last blank a flick - nothing happens. “Oh, I actually only made the backs change places!” The blank card is turned over and it now has a red back! The deck is spread, and one card has changed to blue - it is of course the selected card!

INCLUDES TWO SEPERATE HANDLINGS - ONE OF WHICH USES ORDINARY CARDS AND INTRODUCES THE ‘CF SWITCH’ TO THE MAGIC WORLD - A METHOD FOR SWITCHING ONE CARD FOR ANOTHER WHILE LEAVING THE SWITCHED OUT CARD REVERSED IN
THE DECK!

'WHAT IT ISN'T' is a 14 page manuscript illustrated with 21 photographs. The booklet version, available now for pre-order (release date - 22/08/07 approx.) comes complete with the gaff cards included.

NOTE: This effect requires the use of gaff cards. These are standard gaff cards, available at magic shops etc. The PDF does NOT include the required gaffs. If you would like to be provided with the gaffs, please purchase the booklet version of 'What It Isn't' which will include everything you need to perform the effect."

What I say:

Ill be honest, as soon as I my eyes looked over the blurb I thought "Cameron, WHAT ARE YOU DOING". The printing plot is hardly my favorite and he had such a creative start with fresh mint that this will surly bring you down a few notches.

Well I WAS WRONG! Wonderfully written by Mr Forrest yet again although there was a little less of his twisted Scottish humour in there. Cameron has taken a plot which I would never use and forced me to reconsider. Extremely well thought out and very to the point which I believe was the downfall to most of these plots before. The 14 page manuscript explains everything in great detail and with 21 Pictures in there to help you along the way I cant see how you could go wrong.

Not a gaff kinda guy? ( myself included) Then fear not. An UNGAFFED version resides with in these pages also and even though I will use the gaff version from time to time I can see the ungaffed one become a strong point in my working repertoire. A little less to the point than the first but not enough to bring my mind back to the pure hatred of this style in routine which I had before. Their is a card switch in here also which to be honest is worth the price of the pdf and manuscript put together. I can see the CF Switch becoming a standard in magic.

All in all and exiting second outing from Mr francis with Full52 and yet again it keeps me on the edge of my seat to see what his crazy and freakish brain will come up with next. You will not be disappointed with this one.

Just got the email on this one today. Didn't think it was that great from the description but seems like I was wrong.
