Can anybody offer any suggestions or ideas to an idea I am working on?

The Effect in a nut shell.
A card is freely selected & the corner is torn off.
The torn card is signed.
The torn corner then disappears to be found restored on the signed card.

I need help with suggestions regarding the disappearance of the corner. I only need to disappear it and I don’t need it again for the effect to work. I would if possible like the corner to be handled by the spec throughout. I don’t mind using some sort of gimmick but it would need to have a valid reason for being there. I quite like the idea of using the card case but I currently have not managed to come up with anything along those lines.
The only idea I currently have is for the spec to place it in a small pay envelope and then into a himber wallet. When the wallet is opened the envelope is found to be empty and then card gets restored.
I have just rushed this so sorry if it’s a bit of ramble.

Try Paul Harris's "Angel Case" - a way of gaffing a card box which should work nicely for you. It can be found in The Art Of Astonishment Book 2.

However surely a simple false take would do the job?

thanks, yeah I could do a false take but I wanted the spec to place it into something to add to the effect

Why not try making or getting it a box to put the conrner in name it "Recycleing bin" At the end say somthing like " No matter how hard you try to recycle somthings just won't be parted"
