I often used paperclips with very small safety pins to hold cards within my jacket. You put em as low as possible, making sure you can reach for them in a natural manner.

When you need the card(s) you just palm em either Tenkai Fashion or classic, make a riffle shuffle and your set.

To put the cards away i dont see anything else then palming them back to your pocket/bag/case while you reach in for something else. (The card box, a sharpie/pen, magic wand etc)

You should use a mirror while training it get you used to look ahead instead of at your hands and you can train misdirections that way.

Yes. And how about Mr Sharpie? I often try and work Mr Sharpie into a routine so that I have an excuse for going into the pocket. It's very natural to bring a pen out. This can also be combined with a kind of "Oh I've forgotten something" motion with the free hand, you know, pointing a finger up like you've had bright idea. good misdirection.

good tip

how do people rate the deck switch in 'corporate close up' in the ACR routine for the glass deck?

(Apologies - I forget the name of the glass deck and the magician on the dvd) :?

Are you thinking of the Martin Sanderson ACR with the omni deck?

Yes! How is that rated among the methods of deck switching?

well it's not actually a deck switch but in one of my routines I have to add 3 gaffed cards to a deck half way through. I've mangaed to incorporate the good old card through hankie effect into the routine, the gaffed cards are hidden in the hankie so as soon as I put the hankie over the deck, those extra cards are added to the top.

I haven't seen the DVD for some time, but from memory it's done when the spec is removing their card from the sealed envelope in his wallet, which is fantastic misdirection but not really suitable as an everyday deck switch, unless you add card to envelope to the end of every routine.

I find putting the deck into your pocket when looking for a sharpie etc, then bringing out the duplicate works fine!
