For the benefit of all those confused but interested about why bumberboy has spelt 'Derren', 'Dergen', you should visit his youtube account to find out more: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=bumperboy

It is probably worth me explaining that bumperboy(Steve) is, or was at least, one of the biggest exposers of magic and sleights on youtube and is the man whom first really got me started with sleight of hand magic by reccomending RRTCM before I ever had an account here.

He doubtlessly will get a lot of schtick from the members here, but please at least consider the fact that, whilst brining the fraternity to it's knees, his videos are of a relatively decent quality at times, and his 'dale winton prank call' is absoultley hilarious.

I was just gonna say about DERGEN being a youtube invention...... welcome but do please tell us more about yourself.

I am pleased you have started removing your exposures from youtube as many of us here have signed a petition against youtube allowing such exposure so you are getting off on the right foot!!

Do though tell us your age, rough location, how long you've been into magic and yopur favourite styles/acts and also it would be nice to know why you felt the need for exposing secrets (albeit humouorously) and what it was that made you see the light and retract some of your videos?

(additional thought taken this to it's own thread......HERE)

:)

In this day and age, it seems to me that it only makes sense to ask if someone's gay or straight to find out whether it's worth fancying them or not.

In Toronto it seems to be accepted as perfectly normal behaviour. They can even get married here. Canada is a very odd place. I do have fears however that they will be bringing in legislation to make it compulsory though.

Attitudes in different countries vary. I well remember that a noted children's entertainer in Ireland did a television series there. It was successful so they requested another one. He refused because he was gay and thought he was getting too high a profile. In holy Ireland it would have been the end of his children's entertainment career if the word got out that he was gay.

Interestingly enough he has now moved to England abandoning his profitable and successful career in Ireland. He has given up kid shows. I often wondered if they found him out.

I don't think this will affect Derren Brown's career although it might. The British are a very uncouth people and I can see nasty unfair mockery that would not happen in other countries. I hope to God he doesn't move to Canada. I hate his television shows although I will concede that he seems to show some improvement when he works live.
