Flying Ring

Postby thwangs » Nov 23rd, '07, 22:17

... Or Ring Flite, or this that, whatever.

Basically, I just want to know a good ring flight trick, where you BORROW a ring, vanished from your hands, reappears in your back pocket.

Anyone know any good ones? I prefer one that doesn't use a "key book" or whatever they call it.

Much thanks!

Hiya man... Before you get a tirade of abuse (some haven't got patience)

Have you tried the 'Search' function?

Yeah I have, and unless I did it wrong (might happen), there hasn't been anything on flying ring. There have been threads on linking rings and such, but that's not what I'm looking for.

If you're getting no joy from the TM search function, try using Google. Enter "talkmagic" (minus the quotes) followed by your search words and you should have more luck. Examples:

talkmagic flying ring
talkmagic ring flight

Thanks Bicycle808

Yes, I looked it up, but it didn't return results that fit my need.

I have found several versions, but they all require a "key wallet" or something of the sort. If anyone has them, do you HAVE TO appear the ring in this wallet?

yeah you do.

You could always just use a retracting pull?

or even a palm and "look its in my pocket" scenario :S

The flying ring by Gaetan Bloom. Use this all the time. Brilliant

I am not sure who invent this but the trick is called Another Ring or Ring Flight, its pretty easy to do and the value is worth buying it.

Rinkey Dinky is a ring flight effect without a key case. The ring appears on your ordinary key ring. Please do read the instructions and do 'the necessary' before playing around with it.

From a purely personal point of view (that's a lot of p's), I find the idea of having a potentially valuable (monetary and sentimental) bit of jewellery dangling from some stranger's shoelace a bit revolting. See what Derren Brown says about his ring to sock effect in 'Absolute Magic'.
