For me it is just easier to back palm then pinch. But I use the two interchangably. When I'm sitting around doing nothing...like at work and I'm just fiddling with a coin it goes into each position, usually without thinking too much about it.

Size doesn't matter and I'm envious that you can scrunch the coin. At one time in my life I could classic palm 4 US half dollar coins and perform A Touch of Midas found in Bobos. A motorbke accident messed me up pretty good and it is hard to push the coin up into position, but I can now do one coin and I struggle with it. Stretching my fingers to loosen the tendons helps and lots of practice gets me there. By the way, I too have large hands so don't let that get in the way of doing great magic. I know you will do fine.
Cheers

i find that doing an excercise i found in 'the trilogy' really works to better dexterity, its where you have your hands spread out, palm to palm, and you then cross the first fingers only one way, then back the other, then back straight, and then do the same with your middle fingers and so on, over and over, i find this not only 'warms you up' but increases dexterity.. :D but you do look a bit stupid and im still pretty slow at it...

bah humbug...

My palms are tiny, but my fingers are long.

Before you complain about the size of your hands, I suggest you have a look at:

Thanks for all the feedback on this. I don't feel I've really progressed yet, but I feel now that I can progress, which is almost as good!

I've got little coin manipulation hands.......but I do card magic more often.

My middle finger is a cm longer than a matchbox(weired comparison but anyway) and the rest are obviously shorter. That doesn't hinder my coin or card tricks, its the lack of practice that does.
