and all that bother over a crappy umbrella? but thats not the point its the principle, they sold you goods which you didn't receive so you were right to complain, I hope your negative publicity affects their sales

To be honest, nothing would make me happier than to see them go bust.
They only contacted me once I had threatened to cancel my order and told them I had lodged a complaint with trading standards.
I understand that things get busy this time of year, but taking this long to despatch an item that was in stock and have the audacity to charge you for postage and their lack of communication are inexcusable.

It takes only five minutes to send an email. I used to sell a lot of stuff on ebay and always replied to any queries as soon as I saw them and sorted out any problems until they reached a satisfactory conclusion, so I know it can be done.
To ignore someone who has filled your inbox with emails BEGGING you to reply to them and PLEADING for them to sort it out is just plain ignorant.
They called today and said "You've sent an awful lot of emails, haven't you?"
YES BECAUSE YOU IGNORED ME ALL THE TIME!
I rang their sales line and told them that although they couldn't help me, they are the only avenue of communication that's not completely blocked off and told them that although it's annoying I would continue to call and send emails until I got some kind of response.

As a 'courtesy' they refunded the amount, so if the goods by some weird fluke actually do arrive, then I haven't paid for them. Which is something.
No explanation could be given as to why something in stock wasn't sent out and the reason why they hadn't got back to me was because they are "busy" and there were more urgent people in front of me.
I think they certainly are busy, dealing with angry, pi$$ed off people who they have managed to make Christmas shopping a more stressful experience than usual.

I got the same shoddy treatment from a Magic Shop last year and their atttitude towards their customers (well me, anyway) was an arrogant, deceitful one who would like and try to discredit you. Magic is not the biggest of the retail industries so every customer who is treated well is one who comes back to you. I haven't shopped with this smug, pompous idiot since and neither will I with www.iwantoneofthose.com
