Derren Brown Live

Postby ste175 » Jun 9th, '04, 16:12

I've just found out that Derren Brown is performing live in a London theatre starting tonight. I'm not sure if there are any tickets left (he's doing it for 2 weeks) but I think it's worth a shot.

I'll be really happy if they do still have tickets because he always does new tricks (because he usually reveals how he does the old ones) and, although I don't do much mentalism effects, I'm starting to think that they are probably the future of magic tricks as I think that people are becoming too suspicious and weary of cards

There are still tickets left. I'm going again next Monday.

I hope not, I like them too much and if they do become the future of magic in a few years time they will become just as overexposed as card magic is now.

And card magic hasn't really changed much in the time it's been around and it's come about 500 years so far I don't see why it'll be stopped by a bit of TV exposure.

All the best,

I hope not. Otherwise I'm asking Dover for money back on all these damn books - not to mention Woolworths for the Marvin's Magic sets I've had over the years!!!

Yeah, I hope it doesn't get stopped either, and I do still get good reactions to card tricks, but I always think the fresh approach is the best approach.
Also, I got tickets for 24th! :D
