This is very early Cure we're talking about. Not exactly "Charlotte Sometimes".

Like her voice, but I find this song a bit...um....depressing.
You couldn't imagine Same Difference doing such a tune.

Coincidence, eh? It's a reet bu**er at times.

Currently listening to:

Music for Biscuits by The Mike Sammes Singers

and listening/watching the fab live Sparks DVD called 'Dee Vee Dee'.
Filmed last year at the Forum and I was there right at the front. Best gig I have ever seen.

I walked into town yesterday and couldn't get "Mouldy Old dough" by Lieutenant Pigeon out of my head. It's quite nice for yomping about the borough.

Good stamping music!
I have (really) the best of Lieutenant Pigeon CD and the track 'Dirty Old Man' must be heard to be believed. The CD is sadly missing the brilliant b-side to 'Desperate Dan' called 'Opus 33', another LP classic!!!

"This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us" is an utter classic. On the album version, you can hear Ron fall over his fingers playing the electric piano part.

Nearly everything they've done is wonderful. Their last two albums, "Lil' Beethoven" and "Hello Young Lovers" are, in my opinion, two of the finest works ever recorded and the live versions, with the imaginative visuals, are even more potent.
Next year they are doing 21 gigs in London in a row. Playing all of their albums in order culminating with the world premiere of their new, 21st long player. Not many bands can do that!

Except for The Fall

Crikey, 21 Fall gigs in a row. I hate to think what sort of madman could bear that much and live.
