Magicmagic are great. Click on the ad below and you get 10% off your first order. If it's over £40 you get the choice of a free gift and they're all good standard magician's stuff like sponge balls, cards and tt's.

Psychokinetic Silverware is only £13.99 on there and the cheapest I've seen it elsewhere is £18.99 with some places selling it for up to £25.

Great deals and great service.

Yes they do, if your order is over a certain amount and the more you spend the better the gifts get!
I recall seeing sponge balls, some books, tt's, IT and such like. I chose a copy of Reel Magic which came with my order. Superb service. And their stuff is a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

The only thing that could improve them is if they had a bigger range of things, but there is some good stuff on their site.

Here is my contribution so far.. :)

Nothing up my sleeve.co.uk
Website Address http://www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk/
Owner Seige, I like the layout of this site and it’s simplicity. When seige was selling his own products on TM I grabbed some of the items quick, simply because they where value for money and what I was looking for at the right price. The goods where delivered with no problems, I can imagine he runs NUMS the same. When I am not poor NUMS will be my first place of calling.

Magicshop.co.uk
Website Address http://magicshop.co.uk/
Bicycle Seconds 10 pks at 99p each. No problem with the delivery or product.

http://www.emagictricks.co.uk

I am still awaiting a refund from them.
Order Date: Tuesday 31 July, 2007
VAT (Included not extra): £14.75
Next Day for in stock items only (Royal Mail Special Delivery): £5.00 Sub-Total: £99.01 Total: £104.01

It also cost me £10.98 to return the case. I did explain it was for my 12 year old birthday. Weeks went by even saying a replacement has been sent. Then 4 phone calls later No I was still on back order. Then the offer of a refund still no refund. I will be calling again on Monday I’ll update you all.

I am not sure what has gone wrong in e-magics case however it will take a detailed explanation to convince me to use the site again, my advice to emagic would be update your site with how many items you have in stock. The online store you use is a free php and sql database it’s not hard to list how many of each item you have in stock.

Apart from the above e-magics have delivered other Items to me I did order by phone. So I guess it’s not all doom and gloom.

Foot note: I have had no problems with items I have got off members of TM in the Items for sale or the Giving thread.

I've ordered from Merchant of Magic three times recently, and I've been impressed with the service. The first order came through as the wrong item (was a Wayne Dobson DVD instead of book), but my e-mail was replied to quickly, and replacement, complete with free gift for my inconvenience sent as soon as they received the DVD back. 2nd order was flawless, and third order, which I exchanged a couple of e-mails with Dominik to properly work out what I needed before ordering was also flawless. In all, with the experience I've had with them, I'll be ordering again (must sell a kidney on eBay so I can afford Gauchi's Body Language...)

I've placed two orders with MagicNevin yesterday, so I'll let you know how I get on there, they were certainly quick to respond to the questions I had e-mailed them, and also very thorough and honest in their reply.

I've also ordered a children's prop from J_B_Magic on eBay...again I'll review both the products and the service when the order arrives.

Also, although I haven't ordered from them for some time (7 years or so I think), my experiences with Magic Max in Florida (hence my stage name) have always been excellent, although I have been hit by customs charges in the past. www.magicmax.com (no, I don't work for them!)

I ordered from Outlaw Effects recently and found their service and effects to be excellent and reasonably priced. A real pleasure to deal with and my fears about ordering from overseas were dispelled by Rick's prompt responses and help.

I shall be buying from them again. And again.

I've had some awful service over the past year from magical and non-magical retailers, so it's refreshing when you receive excellent service.

I have ordered from www.worldmagicshop.co.uk a few times over the past months and I have to say how impressed I am with them. Excellent service and delivery, never had a problem and Costas is one of the nicest chaps I have spoken to in the magic retail industry.
Unlike some who will sell you any old tat just to get your money, WMS are honest about effects and if they think it's rubbish will tell you so and advise you as to what's better.
You don't get much honesty in the retail trade and when people are helpful enough to save you money and be completely honest about the products they are stocking you feel in safe hands particularly as they are people who seem to know what they are talking about.

I recommend them wholeheartedly and along with Magicbox and magicmagic are the best magic shops (online) I have used this year and will continue to use.

I agree with Merchant of Magic having excellent service. I've ordered from them multiple times. You almost always get through when you call them, and they trust you when you say your order did not arrive. No questions asked, nothing complicated, just a simple 'Okay we'll send you another copy of your order.'

Love them!

Wish I could say the same but my views on them are quite the opposite!

Magicbox and Magic Nevin are both good and both will price match. However, only Magic Nevin will permanently reduce their prices in the event of a price match, whereas Magicbox will only match the price for you on that particular order and for you only. No one else benefits unless they happen to ask for the same price match. Worth bearing in mind, perhaps.

The two actual "shops" at the start are frequented by me and I would like to give my opinion!

Davenports: Very friendly place, just like you'd expect a magic shop to be. All dark and underground with lovely glass cabinets showing beautiful magical pieces of history as well as all of the new availabilities.

There are two memebrs of staff I have encountered there several times both of which are very pleasant. A young man who has an excellent knowledge of magic and is very willing to help and demonstrate. When I was in there looking for a new chop-cup, there were a few pesky kids spending way too much, way too soon on silly advanced items. They kept asking "so how does this one work?" and he was very polite in telling them "i have absolutely no idea."

The other gentlemen is older and extrmely helpfull. I spoke to him for a good 1/2 hour with him demonstrating several tricks and really having a nice honest chat about magic which can be hard at my age.

The prices are as you'd expect, slightly more expensive in shop than some of the online stores but you get much more of an experiance in buying them!

International Magic: This shop has an absolutely wonderfull selection of items and has ( as you may expect) a proffesional magician working there most of the time. He is usually helpfull in demostrating the tricks, however I find him (again maybe my age) quite patronizing at times and not really that interested in what you have to say.

For example, I came in, spoke to a couple of the regulars then went an asked this simple question.

"im looking for something new" and that wasn't it. I didnt mean ANYTHING plucked out of ANYWHERE, i was about to say to add to my routine when he interrupted...

"theres nothing new, just you havent seen it yet"
which is a lovely little quote, but rather rude. Another older man walked in, obviously never met and he treated him with a lot more respect. Same thing happens when I am with my Dad, a lot more repsect and helpfullness!

Anyway! away with this B*tch*ng! A good shop with a good range and a good website. Family run, run the Convention and not bad if your passing by!

I would personally reccomend Davenports as it is a lot more appealing to all types of magic but Internation Magic seems to supply miscellanious items that can be usefull such as cheap backissues of magazines and old vhs tapes!

Thanks for reading!

I have to say that World Magic Shop are great, although I have never bought anything from them I have had my Wizard Pk Ring exchanged (bought from magicmagic.co.uk and found it was too big and they didn't sell any smaller sizes). They were very nice and exchanged it gladly.

Also magicmagic and magicbox are great, they are the two I usually order from. Just before Christmas an item I had ordered from magicbox was out of stock and they phoned up and asked me if I wanted to change my order. Some service that you sometimes don't get from some magic shops.

I really don't like modusmagic anymore. I ordered a pack of black tigers from them and it took 2 weeks for them to arrive, and when they did they were slightly bent and printed off, although thats probably ellusionists fault.

I hope that all made sense...

I can fully recommend buying from World Magic Shop, great service and really helpful on the phone. They did me a great deal just before christmas and have an excellent range of items in stock. Also, their honesty concerning items they sell is much appreciated and Costa's advice always turns out to be solid.
I appreciate the level of customer service WMS give and will be certainly buying from them quite a lot over the coming year...
