Resealable decks

Postby deanos123 » Jan 18th, '08, 18:26

hi all.

is it possible to get resealable decks of cards, or even an official Bicycle sticker so you can reseal a pack after its been opened to make it look like a brand new deck?

this type of gimmick could be useful, no?

thats amazing, thats exactly what i had pictured in my head! thanks

while I'm on the subject for looking for stuff, without giving to much away, do you know of anything that can aid me in the handling of the ID? I get a little heavy handed when I'm nervous and the cards don't behave themselves, (I'm sure you know what i mean) is there anyway of making the behave themselves? you know more easily? i seem to be messing it up alot.

I also on occasion use a hairdryer and a scraping blade to apply a little heat and peal the sticker off boxes I don't need to reseal...the glue really loosens when heated and you can peel them off whole

It could be a handling problem; remember, a heavy touch when spreading normally, a lighter touch for the reveal of the card. Try to look a few cards ahead in the spread so you can anticipate the move and so there isn't a suspicious delay when the magic occurs.
Have a look at how quickly and smoothly Bill Malone does this:

Otherwise it could be a problem with the ID.
I notice that the IDs come from the manufacturer a little bit 'under magicked'.
You can 're-magic' the cards by using 'magic fluid' (r******* spray).

I hope that helps since the name of the stuff in question would surely expose.

PM me if that makes no sense. :D

Mark

EDIT: Actually if you have never used r******* spray before, then there is a certain skill involved. Have a search on here, or drop me a PM and I'll be quite happy to explain. :D
