I didn't hear anything about the program in advance and was actually out at my works Christmas meal (don't ask) so would have missed it if my better half hadn't spotted it was coming on and sky plussed it for me.

I thought it was very entertaining. No idea how he did the bit with the photo's in the middle.

As with most of Derren's stuff, I found it enjoyable and it took a different slant to what I thought it would. Well presented and in a way it was a kind of elaborate hoax played on the viewer.
The middle bit which people are referring to was excellent and well presented. Worth watching.

I would really appreciate it if this was picked up by a station here in the states.

I would really like to see this.

Feel free to count me in as a Derren Brown fan. I've only seen a small bit of his work, but based on the Brown books that I own, I am a big fan.

Mike.

I for one enjoyed it, and am still baffled by the ending!

I thought it was a very good piece of TV and I'll admit to not figuring it out until after the explanation of the coin in the bowl

The middle section with the photo's was excellent and a good method of throwing most people off the scent - including me

Derren Brown: The System

Postby chris2215 » Feb 3rd, '08, 11:14

Now that was a thoroughly enjoyable hour of television the other night.

I have to say that as I watched I had no idea how he managed to predict the outcome of every race and when the concept was finally revealed I couldn't help but smile. I thoroughly enjoyed not only the logic but the thought process behind it.

Even though he did explain The System, he still left us wondering at the end as he managed to predict the winner on the final race when the System was obsolete - the man is a genius.

Superb piece of entertainment, just like all his shows. I really enjoyed it, even if I didn't figure it out how he did it. And as for predicting the winner of the last race....

Predicting the winner of the last race is surely just a continuation of "the System".

good show, I enjoyed it, despite hating maths and gambling, Derren still managed to make it interesting. I liked the way it was presented, although it would have been better if there had maybe been a couple of similar effects like the one in the middle with the photos. Can't wait to see what he does next...

We in the 'States can't access that. Well, I can't, anyway, and I assume it's the same for most. It is, however, available on youtube, Mike.

Ciao,
Rob
