Just looking through the 'net and came across alakazams VDP, which is described as :
Imagine a signed playing card transforming quarter-by-quarter into a completely different card with the signature still intact! Ah, but is it the spectator's signature? Of course! But can the card be given away without a switch? Absolutely!

Just wondering if anybody has this or knows about it?

second this request, saw the demo last time i was in alakazam and was rather impressed.

I've got it and it is rather nice. watched it performed 3 times, once on myself and was amazed each time, so had to buy it.
I'll sort out a proper review later, but for now I'll just say it's nice

Alas it seems to be a solid 5/5 for difficulty (or at least 11/10 for the length of time needed).

Is that length of time needed for prep or in actual performance?

it does seem to have similarities to the tnr card in guy hollingworth's drawing room deceptions. If I am right then it will definately not be something you can go out and show off the same week as buying it

I think the practise-at-home-alone side of it is minimal. It just takes a little time to actually put the trick together, There's certainly scope for him releasing a ready to go set (if you're reading John, I'd like 10% please?). I think if you just sat down for an hour or so one after noon and sorted it you'd be good to go for quite a while.
I don't want to give too much away here, just, be prepared to do some work

Yeah the prep. Don't want to give too much away, but I just don't have time to doo all the prep work involved. Although it is a beautiful effect, it would be nice to buy some ready-made, as Lawrence has previously said.

Sounds very much like Color Fusion, probably my favourite trick that I never do. I originally bought it because I was intrigued to see how it worked, liked it, and made up a load of cards. Unfortunately after I ran out of them I couldn't be arsed to spend the on average 20 minutes it took to make a decent gaff so it languishes in my draw.

I expect VDP to be like this, I'll probably still give in and get it though.

Its very nice but does require work.

One thing I will state is that on the DVD it is performed on a one to one basis. This you will have to judge for yourself but if you know this it would prob be better in front of a crowd in a busy room. I will say no more but there is a limit to when and where I use it.
