Stuck to the floor

Postby Pulsarboy » Apr 21st, '08, 22:29

Hi guy's I'm new to the site, have been a lurker for a few weeks though. I'm quite new to the world of magic but looking to learn more. I'm justa a hobbyist. I love watching magic and trying to perform lol.

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on Fraser Parkers Stuck to the Floor?

Is it easy to perform, effective etc? I did a search but it didn't turn much up so appologies if I have missed something.

Many thanks for any help,

Rich

I would not recommend it to a beginner. There are no sleights or gaffs or gimmicks which work the 'magic' and behind which you can hide - it depends entirely on a solid ability to communicate confidently and effectively with your audience and generally these are things which only come with experience.

Furthermore a background in mentalism will always be beneficial due to the more advanced principles in use.

I got this and agree with cardz. Very nice but not for the beginner.

And I'll second the opinion by both Cardza and stephenmagic

Ahhh OK then guys. Many thanks for the replies. I thought it sounded easy but obviously it's not that easy :?

I thought I might be ok at it, my job is basically a sales job, so I tend to do between 5 to 10 pitches a day. I think my presentation skills are OK but I might brush up on a few easier tricks then.

Many thanks again to you all :D
