There has been quite a lot of discussions already on levitations, and for reference I have supplied links to some of the threads.
Personally I don't do levitations that often, but saved for the right place and right time they can be very impressive. Almost magical some would say.
I will occasionally do a balducci - but only if my lovely assistant is about to ensure everyone is in the right place. Someone here (sorry I can't remember who) suggesed doing it in a doorway to help with the angle problems, and I did think that quite a nice idea. (I never tried it out though).
The other levitation I will sometimes do is a neo-rise, which has had some really impressive reactions, (and a few where for some reason the specs crease up in laughter - although I blamed that on wine more than my technique).
For me I see levitating more of a party trick than pure magic, but in the right place at the right time. It has it's place (and time).
